More about The Armory
There are many cultural institutions in the Minneapolis area, from the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts to the Orpheum Theatre and Pantages Theatre, though one of the best is The Armory, a venue repurposed multiple times before it reinvented itself as a concert hall. With so many concerts scheduled here, it makes sense to book Armory parking in advance with BestParking. Though it has gone through many uses, from ammunition storehouse to basketball stadium, indoor motorcycle racing and even as a parking garage, it has been a concert venue since 2015. Artists who have performed at the Armory include Lizzo, The Lonely Island, Halsey, Billie Eilish, Bring Me The Horizon, Vampire Weekend, Deadmau5, The Jonas Brothers, The Chainsmokers, Excision, Coheed and Cambria, The 1975, Jack White, 5 Seconds of Summer, Dua Lipa, Paramore, p!nk, Judas Priest, Steve Aoki, Imagine Dragons, Anti-Flag, Armin van Buuren, Brockhampton and Maren Morris, among many others. In addition to concerts, the venue has been the location for two famous music videos, particularly Aerosmith’s “I don’t want to miss a thing” song in 1998 and Prince’s “1999” music video, shot in 1982. The venue has also been the site of the Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions in 1972 as well as concerts for the X Games. With so many concerts by popular artists playing there, it can be tough to find convenient Armory parking unless you book ahead of time with BestParking.
