More about Hollywood Pantages Theatre
There is much more to Hollywood, California than just films, movie stars and mansions; there is also Broadway theatre. Located northwest of the Los Angeles theatre district at the intersection of Hollywood and Vine is the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. The venue has been the host of many popular Broadway shows for decades, making it crucial to book Hollywood Pantages Theatre parking in advance of the show with BestParking. While it was originally intended to show moving pictures and vaudeville when it opened in 1930, it acted primarily as a movie theater until 1977, when it closed. Pacific Theatres and the Nederlander Organization reinvented the venue as a Broadway-style performing arts venue and reopened it in February of that year with a production of Bubbling Brown Sugar. In the year 2000, the Nederlander Organization was able to book The Lion King in part by conducting an extensive renovation to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, including construction of a forty foot square pit to house the hydraulics machinery needed for the show. The venue has since been host to innumerable productions, including Rent, The Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fiddler on the Roof, Legally Blonde, The King and I, Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots, Riverdance, Stomp, Chicago, Wicked, Hamilton, The Book of Mormon, Rent, The Sound of Music, Frozen, and Finding Neverland, among many others. The venue always has the best and most innovative Broadway shows, so it is important to book Hollywood Pantages Theatre parking in advance of the show with BestParking.
