More about Bank of America Stadium
There are many places to watch professional football, MLS soccer, and attend concerts in Charlotte, North Carolina, but one can do all three at Bank of America Stadium. The venue is home to the legendary Carolina Panthers of the NFL, so it is important to book Bank of America Stadium parking in advance of the game with BestParking. Located in Charlotte’s Center City neighborhood, the venue opened to the public in September 1996, purpose-built to be the home for the year-old Carolina Panthers football team. First known as Ericsson Stadium until 2004, Bank of America Stadium has been renovated multiple times. The displays and scoreboards were replaced in 2007 with Diamond Vision video boards and the venue added four ribbon boards. The video boards were updated again in 2014, with new escalators, a new sound system, and modifications of the two glass domes at each of the venue’s three entrances to use LED bulbs. In 2015, the venue renovated its luxury suites and added two private club suites, and in 2016 improved the upper concourse and increased the amount of Wi-Fi access points for guests. New signage and improvements to the venue’s concession amenities were put in place in 2017, followed by the addition of bunker suites in 2020. Renovations are also being made to accommodate the Charlotte FC MLS team, which will be based at the venue starting in 2022. The venue is home to the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, Duke’s Mayo Classic and hosts the ACC Championship each year. The stadium has also hosted concerts, notably The Rolling Stones in October 1997 and Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw in June 2012. With so many events to choose from, many fans attend the venue, so it is a good idea to book Bank of America Stadium parking ahead of the game with BestParking.
